New York: Treat yourself to a flavorful weekend with MOFAD Lab and Smorgasburg

Take a free ride to Brooklyn’s brand new Museum of Food and Drink

We are thrilled to announce that this Saturday marks the weekend opening of the Museum of Food and Drink in Brooklyn, MOFAD Lab: New York City's first food museum with edible exhibits. A collaboration between Eater, Vox Creative, and brand partner Infiniti, MOFAD Lab launches with its first exhibition, Flavor: Making It and Faking It.

To celebrate the inaugural weekend, Eater and MOFAD will provide free pedicab cab rides this Saturday, October 31, from the MOFAD tent at Smorgasburg Williamsburg Brooklyn location (North 7th & Kent) to the MOFAD Lab exhibit studio on 62 Bayard Street (right across the street from McCarren Park). Enjoy the flavors and tastes of Smorgasburg and then discover the history and science behind those flavors at MOFAD Lab's debut exhibit Flavor: Making It and Faking It. Learn what "natural" and "artificial" really mean, discover how vanilla and seaweed inspired the science of flavor simulation, and meet the $25 billion industry whose flavors you experience almost every time you eat.
